A Culinary Adventure: Discover the Tastes of Paris

Paris, the city of lights, is not only a dream tourist destination, but also a paradise for food lovers.

On the occasion of my first MBA year, I went to Paris for a week in May, in collaboration with a local university. In addition to the long hours of classes during the week, I tried to make the most of the culinary experiences Paris has to offer.

In this post, I want to share with you the restaurants and bistros that delighted my taste buds.

Breakfast at Café de Flore

Café de Flore is the ideal place to start the day, with a rich history and a bohemian atmosphere. I chose a fine omelette and a croissant with a flavored tea, enjoying the view of the boulevard Saint-Germain-des-Prés.

A sweet break from Ladurée

No visit to Paris is complete without a stop at the famous Ladurée on the Champs-Élysées. The elegant atmosphere, exquisite décor and divine desserts make this place a real delight for the senses. I recommend for sweet lovers and those who appreciate Parisian refinement.

Lunch at Les Deux Magots

Next to Café de Flore, in the heart of the Saint-Germain neighborhood is this legendary café, famous for its bohemian atmosphere and for being frequented by the likes of Hemingway and Sartre. I chose a Croque Madame with a fresh salad.

The service was impeccable, and the view of the bustling boulevard made the meal a truly relaxing and inspiring moment.

Les Deux Magots remains a not-to-be-missed destination for anyone wishing to experience the authentic charm of Paris.

 

Dinner at Budha Bar

An evening at Budha-Bar in Paris is an incursion into elegance and refinement. Located in the heart of the city, this iconic venue perfectly combines an exotic atmosphere with top gastronomy. The impressive décor, with oriental influences and ambient lighting, transports you into a fascinating world. We opted for delicious sushi and a very good cocktail. The lounge music complemented the experience perfectly, making dinner a feast for the senses.

Budha Bar is definitely a must-visit for anyone looking for an exceptional culinary and cultural experience in Paris.

A walk on the Champs-Élysées

A stroll on the Champs-Élysées is an iconic experience, a perfect combination of Parisian elegance and urban vitality. From the Arc de Triomphe to the Place de la Concorde, this famous avenue is lined with luxury shops, chic cafés and historic landmarks.

We decided to have lunch at Bistro 25, a restaurant located in a picturesque corner of the city, where we ate very well in a relaxing atmosphere.

The best pancakes in Paris

Located close to the Eiffel Tower, Le Recrutement Bistro, is the ideal place to savor traditional pancakes in a relaxed setting. I chose a classic pancake with Nutella, which came separately, however, the plain pancake was so good that I didn’t feel the need to combine them. It’s the perfect place for something sweet, a coffee or a glass of prosecco.

Another place where we had a delicious pancake is Carette in the Artists’ Square. Located near Place du Tertre, in the heart of Montmartre, Carette offers an artsy and bohemian atmosphere, perfect for relaxing and indulging in delicious desserts. From here, you can admire the bustle of the market and street artists. The lively atmosphere, and the aroma of freshly made pancakes, hung in the air.

Another must-try dessert in Paris is French Toast, and the best one I had was at Le Grand Cerf restaurant. Here, breakfast was good too, they have a delicious omelette.

We discovered a place that not only offers delicious food but also a spectacular view of the Eiffel Tower, Café du Trocadéro. It’s the perfect place to sip a coffee, a prosecco or a fine meal while enjoying the authentic Parisian atmosphere and breathtaking view.

After a grueling day of classes, Cafe de la Paix was the ideal place to enjoy a glass of bellini. Situated in the heart of Paris, with its elegant architecture and sophisticated atmosphere, this iconic café is sure to offer an exquisite, unmissable experience.

One place that appealed to me as I wandered around Paris in search of a place to dine was Triadou Haussmann. It oozed Parisian charm, that authentic Parisian charm, set in a stunning building.

In addition to all these fabulous restaurants with delicious food, if you end up in Paris, you definitely shouldn’t miss the Eiffel Tower. It is an iconic symbol of the city and one of the most recognizable structures in the world. Visiting the Eiffel Tower is a must-see experience for any traveler arriving in the French capital.

Another place in Paris that I like very much is the Basilica Sacré Coeur de Montmartre. It is a true architectural gem, offering not only a profound spiritual experience, but spectacular panoramic views over the city.

Last but not least, for the luxury shopping enthusiast, there’s Galeries Lafayette, which boasts impressive architecture with a stunning Art Nouveau dome and offers a unique shopping experience, from top fashion to accessories and gourmet products.

 

Paris is truly a city that captivates you with every street, monument, restaurant and experience. From the impressive architecture and rich history to the culinary delights and romantic atmosphere, every visit is an opportunity to discover new wonders.
